Precision workstation project was developed in order to develop a design language that could be adapted to different precision product platforms, from small form factors to large performance towers. In order to connect the dots between manufacturing technologies and thermal performance to individual platforms, we spent time exploring different venting designs that suits the manufacturing process along side with the cost. Having a common design element between low cost injection molded plastic platforms and CNC metal chassis design was the most challenging aspect of the project. In this project, I was the lead designer, working closely with the engineering team and the marketing team.
